Why beauty matters?

The documentary Why Beauty Matters? was created and narrated by Roger Scruton in 2009. It was directed by Louise Lockwood.

Roger Scruton explains in an elegant manner the importance and transcendental nature of beauty, the impact of beauty upon our Being. He highlights the sacredness of beauty and how it trumps utility. He also casts his critical eye upon modern “art” and discloses its destructive influence upon us all.

Roger Scruton (1944-2020) was a British philosopher, writer and public commentator. He specialised in aesthetics with particular attention to music and architecture. More about him here
